Rolleston

Rolleston-on-Dove is a village on the northern boundary of Burton-upon-Trent in East Staffordshire. The village is centred around Rolleston Brook and has a history of flooding from both surface water runoff and the Rolleston Brook following heavy rainfall, which can affect properties and roads.

Several flood risk management initiatives have been undertaken in Rolleston-on-Dove in recent years. FAIR has been working collaboratively with Risk Management Authorities including the Environment Agency, Severn Trent Water, Staffordshire County Council Lead Local Flood Authority and the Highway Authority to understand the flooding history and implement further measures to help reduce flood risk and build resilience in the area. This includes the installation of Property Flood Resilience measures on properties at risk from flooding, and the implementation of a new water level sensor on Rolleston Brook.
